The Little Crumb was born in thirty minutes flat. I was on my back porch, glass of wine in hand, holding nothing but the crumble of an idea — with my daughter right beside me, playing hype girl and enthusiastically validating every wild idea I threw out. Twenty minutes later, I had a name and a logo — and I needed a refill.
That crumble of an idea was actually something I'd been wanting to do for about twenty years: open a bakery. Feeding people has always been a love language of mine. The way a first bite can translate into closed eyes, a tilted-back head, and an "mmmmmmm" that comes straight from someone's soul — that's always done it for me.
That twenty-year idea, combined with the hope of one day having a place where my autistic, non-speaking (brilliant) son could find fulfillment in his own work, is ultimately what brought The Little Crumb to life.
We hope you feel all of that — the hopes, the dreams, the imagination — in every single bite.
